Bert and Shilo's Visit

Bert and Shilo came to visit last weekend. We had so much fun. We went to Hammonds Candy Factory here in Denver for a tour. They make all of there candy by hand. They have to make 2000 pounds of candy a day for the whole year to get ready for christmas. Williams sonoma is one of the companies they produce candy for.

We also went to "Lair of the Bear" an open space up in the mountains. Nicki and Debra came with us and we had a nice picnic and let the kids play.

One day we went to the Berrry Patch Farms. Its an organic farm right here in Henderson. Every Saturday through October the have a Harvest Festival. We went on a little hay ride to a strawbale maze for the kids. Once the kids make it though the maze they get to choose a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.

Our new home

Home Sweet Home

The end of June we moved from our small 2 bedroom townhome to this home in Henderson Colorado. Jeff graduated in May and is doing his residency in OB/GYN at Exempla St. Joseph Hospital in Denver. We were so excited to get to stay here in Denver. We have really grown to love it here. We also love Henderson. It is a little north of Denver in a little farming community. There are farms all over and it really makes us feel at home coming from Star Valley.

This summer we were able to go camping a few times. We usually go to our favorite spot on the Poudre River. We love it there. It is beautiful, there is a great place for the kids to play in the water, and probably the most important reason....the fishing is great! We all love to fish! However I think that our little Sam has taken after Daddy and his fishing has become an obsession.
